The new M.I.A. vid. Check it here:

I don't feel like going through the trouble of embedding the video onto here, especially since you non-existant readers probably have low expectations anyway. So there you go.
I find that video to be hilariously disturbing. And I hope me saying that doesn't make me seem totally cold-hearted, but c'mon... A music video for a badass song that depicts hate and intolerance to red-heads delivered in the most serious tone... Okay yeah, it's a bit harsh.

Back...
I haven't posted in 8 months and in my last entry I said I'd be sampling a ton of albums. Well, not only did that not happen, with the exception of a few, but I discarded this thing completely.
I seem to be horrible at maintaining blogs, but I don't give a fuck about all that. I'm back, I'm writing, and I'm posting music.
First thing's first, there's a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming release by Crystal Castles. I'm pretty stoked on it myself, and although the album doesn't officially hit stores until June, it appears that over half of it has already been leaked over the internet.
Here are a few tracks I like, including the single, Doe Deer:
Crystal Castles - Doe Deer
Crystal Castles - Vietnam
Crystal Castles - Year of Silence
EDIT: It's rumored that CC has pushed their release date up. Digital release on April 23rd, physical release on May 24th. Nice.

This is what I'm doing
I'm sampling dozens of albums and once I'm done I plan on rating/reviewing them... on here, of course. I've never done this before, so I don't know what you should expect. Or what I should expect, except to have a lot of fun eating up extra time and drowning out the real world with music.
Albums (in no particular order):
- PJ Harvey - Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea
- PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her
- PJ Harvey - White Chalk
- Owls - Owls
- Battles - EP C
- 65daysofstatic - The Fall of Math
- Hella - There's no 666 In Outer Space

Some of these albums are from artists that I already listen to, but I only have certain songs from each of them. This is my attempt to actually listen to and critique an album as a whole, rather than just let it play in the background or wait for it to catch my attention.

PBS has commenced...
All that's on my mind is music music music. New music, old music, awesome music, shitty music, noise that most would never categorize as music. You get it, got it?
Well I've been tuning into KEXP (90.3, Seattle) a lot lately and stumbled upon their "specialty show", Expansions, which airs Sunday nights 9pm-ish - midnight I believe. All I can say is, "Mmmmm Ninja Tune."
As a temporary solution for stress, I've used quite a good deal of Bonobo today as a relaxation technique. Yes, it's helped a bit.
Bonobo - Change Down
AND
Yppah - They Know what Ghost Know
ALSO, if you have extra time and want more chillout/lounge/downtempo try searching for Manoeuvres 3 - A Collection Of Bc Electronica. There's a track called Rose Black's Shadow by Elonius Funk. Good stuff. Don't ask about the rest of the album though because I can't rate it.
